Today’s Red Thread Letter is a call to create on a regular basis, a few hours per month, around every new moon. So often, time for ourselves to paint, draw dance, etc… falls last on the list. We eliminate the thing that will fortify us most in our often too busy lives. We are called to create, to be self expressed yet there is a bizarre stigma about creativity being a luxury for those who ‘have the time’, rather than a necessity to survive, and yes thrive.
Sometimes, it is about survival, we feel we have no where to turn where we can truly be who we really are, yet we can turn inward to art making. This morning I woke up knowing that my magic sauce is booking my creation time on my calendar. One hour a day and one day a week is what is on there and I follow it as close as I can, and if I can’t get to it for some reason, I move it. In Anthropas you are being invited to a discipline of creating. I invite you to continue reading and see if this experience I am curating calls you – mostly it is about choosing to be embodied, the invitation is here.
If however you would like to join us for our Intentional Creativity Teacher Training called Color of Woman 2020, let us know here because registration is opening soon.
Also in this letter you will see what happened last weekend at our MUSEA Campus in Sonoma when Jassy Watson, Australia Intentional Creativity Teacher was in studio and we all painted our Tree Woman with over 80 women. The poem I just wrote this morning to go with my new Soulscape painting is below.

“Holy isn’t always a church or open meadow. It can be a zone of profound change, where sexuality, the mythic realms, dreams, and the opening of soul can all occur. Those sculptural images on the temple walls are telling us this, warning us of major potencies at play. If you want to keep everything just so, nice and white, go no further.”
Dr. Martin Shaw ~ A Branch from the Lightening Tree
COSMIC LIBRARY
Our bodies
are keepers of the cosmic library
of life itself.
We are mystics enfolded
within the wings of poetry,
story, song and psalm.
Coded with knowing,
salted with human being,
rooted in a capacity beyond reality
rising ever upwards into cloud.
Everything that ever was
and much of what is yet to come
is held here in the body of being,
curve of ear, soft fold of breast
helix of belly button, vulvic mound,
bones wrapped with starry sinew,
heart heart heart
beating to the ancient drum.
Scattered across her back
the solar system heaves
in a coil of perceived consistency.
Curving not towards destiny,
rather towards a potential,
a quantum propensity
is gathering us, beckoning.
This potential of our YES,
to truly incarnate and gain access
to the library of consciousness.
This is catalyzed by
intention wedded to creation.
Will we give ourselves to the cause?
Moving beyond the taboo
of punishment reward systems,
moving in tune with choice that arises
from the ground of embodied being.
Oh my dears, precious aching hearts!
We have gone so far beyond
where we once were
we don’t even recognize ourselves!
Do not be fooled
into thinking it is too late
perhaps we have been too early
for what is now happening between us!
Nevermind the timing,
(although some say timing is everything)
let us choose another ‘everything’!
How about our human body beingness
being everything?
How about recognizing we are in paradise,
now, right now, ever available now.
Will we choose? If not every moment,
every moment that you can? Will you?
We are a walking library of remembrance,
every particle carries the codes of creation.
The co-creative elements of wind breath, hearth gut,
bone broth, stone circle, sun beam on breasted bird,
tree house, black green mountain, kitten snoring,
verdants lips for kissing, dog howling moon doggie,
crescent moon fingernail, shimmering wave winging,
rainbow beaming beauty of promises yet revealed.
We stretch the body of being across the expanse
suckling stardust from the breast of the milky way
forming structures, systems, seasons, celebrations,
connecting everything in the path of creation.
You remember this beauty don’t you?
You do! You do!
A library is located in the garden
that we lost our way from
but that has always been hidden,
inside, waiting, for your presence.
Know this! Resurrection is in our design.
If you were to consider yourself part of
a cosmic library of great significance
what wisdom would you hold?
Do tell us, please, do!
We have gathered the children in
at the red hem of the mended garment
and we are ready to hear your story.
Your story,
a book plucked from the shelf of cosmic time!
When you open yourself
you quicken us
and all are healed!
amen.
A Letter from the Red Thread Cafe #766
Dear One,
Our human-beingness and your cosmic origins may be ready to come together and not know how. Because it isn’t a concept, you don’t just pick it out of thin air. This must be LIVED and Experienced. The work we do in Anthropas will be brought out into your life and your day to day relationships to create impact beyond the studio.
A big ass canvas or wood, living room wall or door will do. I am going to work on wood, and we are going to work BIG and with lots of texture. We are going to code the entire surface, front and back. We are going to paint the invisible. Know what IS knowable.
You could stop reading now. That could be enough, or too much already. I am definitely a too much woman. But my community has come to count on me being on the edge of transformation, looking in.
I feel those who voyage with me know that the ride is going to be good. We haven’t been here before because the pages have been hidden, and some have been torn out. We are attempting to read the torn out page portions of our soul story. This is a call to the women between the worlds who want to play with this idea:
We agreed to meet here…
At this time to do THIS.
Painting THIS painting.
Exploring pleasure as personal medicine. Looking at toxic patterns and making new ones. Are you up for the adventure? I have just ordered the most giant wood panel.
This weekend I had an incredible experience, supporting my friend and colleague Jassy Watson as she shared her profound process called SoulScape Painting™ with over 80 women both in studio and across the world. The painting I did is above and the group paintings can be found at the bottom. What we experience when we are working together is so much more potent than what we can do alone – the group energy – the quantum connection – the shared experience and seeing what other women come up with that is so unique from what you created! I am riding the high of that experience, and have invited Jassy to be one of our speakers in Anthropas – and we have another event in motion for 2021 in Mexico with Emily Grieves! We love working together and she taught with us in Prism Australia and is the founder of COLOR of WOMAN AUS.
Today I am writing with a call to join us for Anthropas, my next online course that will take us through 13 moons….and hold us in sacred space for 2020.
Here are a few of the thoughts I wanted to share with you and below some answers to common questions from our regular Intentional Creativity students.

Our most common complaint, Q + A, and what’s different about Anthropas
One of the most common complaints we get from our students is: they want to do everything and they can’t. Lol. That always makes us smile. And we get it. Time and resources are a factor even for those of us who have gone rogue as artists, giving up the domestic day to day in favor of the Muse’s ever-beckoning invitation.
I wanted to answer a few of the questions we have been getting about Anthropas.
What will be transformed?
Our most common praise, in addition to the actual content and what it transforms, is that the value of the experience is often life-changing, far beyond the monetary exchange.
What will be transformed if you do the work is your entire relationship with earth, star and your family, your body and your energy system. You are reclaiming your spiritual sacred self from pre-existing patterns and frames so that you can find your OWN space. Our process is here to make that possible. We will be un-downloading some energetic ‘stuff’ and inviting you into a clear space to feel your own beingness. We take on a lot of systems that aren’t right for us…but then we don’t see them anymore, and they are operating in the background.
I will not be teaching you a new system, rather, inviting you to reclaim your own authentic way that soul and body come together. An invitation to a real human being, a true being, a body you inhabit within a soul. We live here, on this earth at this time, let’s claim it!
Intentional Creativity is not a new template, not a style of painting, not a spiritual path. It is an APPROACH to making and living that allows you access to YOUR OWN WAY of BEING. Creativity is the way we experience getting there. Transformation is not an intellectual concept or mindfulness on the mat. True transformation has to be a LIVED experience or it won’t stick. The process that is the most healing is the one you make up yourself. Intentional Creativity is the way you GET TO the one you make up yourself, the path to getting behind the often hidden frames.
I am calling this a Rite of Passage because that is how big it feels for me, and for me to share this information. In Intentional Creativity the teacher doesn’t just show you the stuff and then you do it, she lives the material in her life with you. l am going through it along with you, that is part of what gives it the “pow pow” power!
You can go read the page here.
We are offering $400 savings through 10/18 for our community and more if you are a student here or a Graduate of Color of Woman, or soon to be one!
What’s different about Anthropas?
Intentional Creativity is a philosophy and approach to creating:
Intentional Creativity can be applied to ANY theme. Our theme this cycle is the soul and body coming together and healing the fragmentation. We are also painting the human body, yep the full one, in an abstract manner and painting invisible energy centers. I haven’t painted this before lol, so I have no idea what kind of ride we are in for but women dancing through the cosmos sounds rather exciting to me as an image!
New techniques expanded:
I will also be offering an expanded set of painting teachings, up close. Things I may have touched on but didn’t go into great detail about. After this weekend’s Tree Woman with Jassy Watson I am even more excited to share with you about mark making, color, thick paint, building up textures and more. We are gonna get messy.
Sacred Art Interviews:
I am grateful to be connected with many powerful friends and colleagues! I am interviewing people in 2020 in connection with sacred art, body and science, and each one will share with you an inquiry to bring to your painting process. While these interviews will also be shared with our community – they are conducted within the framework of your class. Leigh J. McCloskey, Luisah Teish, Jassy Watson Earthist, Desda Zuckerman and Jonathan McCloud to name a few!
Where is Anthropas being hosted?
We have a new app just for our students, so Anthropas will NOT be happening on Facebook. Period. I cannot allow these teachings to be shared there. Call me paranoid but I just don’t want our information harvested, and watched, and I don’t want to see news that is served up based on what I click on etc….our app is private. Period.
Color of Woman and studying Intentional Creativity:
If you are planning to join us for Color of Woman 2020 and time and resources are a factor…then choose Color of Woman over Anthropas. I don’t know if we will run Anthropas again, but I’d like to think so. I won’t know until the end. For those of you who have done our other yearlong courses, Red Madonna, Imagine, and Codex, this is the next place to study with me and IC. Unless you want to take Color of Woman which starts in March. You can take them together, many do every year. There is zero conflict of information, as long as you have the time to put in.
How much of a commitment is it?
Anthropas will require about 4 hours a month at minimum for 13 moons. Yet the ‘framework’ of it impacts every area of your life as there is an emphasis on how Intentional Creativity can translate into the rest of your lived relationships, and yes the mundane day to day. If we can’t actively bring these breakthroughs into our life, then the fullness we experience won’t reach all the places that it could. So while it may only be 4 hours at the easel, Anthropas is a full life, full body, full energy immersion. The course is going on all around you all the time. That said, YES, you can work on other paintings at the same time, AND you will be invited to bring what you are learning to other works as you go along.
The investment in this course is significant. And, when you have spent your life developing material you want to share, charging what is appropriate for that level of content is about sacred reciprocity. I have lots of other free and low cost classes for those of you who want to paint with me but cannot invest in this course. There are payment plans available. Don’t see what you need? Ask support@musea.org and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
I hope that answers your questions. Have more? Go ahead and ask here or email sarah@musea.org
With gratitude for sacred work,
p.s. If you know you want to join…and the resources, even with the payment plan won’t be available until November…you can delay the start of your plan… please just reach out to Sarah to save your seat and secure the savings.

“Like a bird on a wire, like a drunk in a midnight choir,
I have tried in my way to be free!!”― Leonard Cohen
I loved last weekend with the incredibly talented, compassionate and lovely Jassy Watson, a dear friend and colleague who graduated from Color of Woman back in 2013 and has her own studio where she teaches classes, workshops and even leads retreats in Bali! This is one of THE greatest blessings of my work, to see graduates go out in the world teaching Intentional Creativity with their own body of work to create livelihood for themselves, their families and to share the power of Intentional Creativity with those who seek to learn.
Interested in joining us for Color of Woman 2020? Make sure you are on the list.Enrollment will open this Fall.
For an overview of events, free offerings, trainings and more, visit our school events page. This Fall includes events in Sonoma, Tiburon, Anderson Valley and Fairfax, as well as Online. We hope you can join us!
