How do you choose to keep LOVE expanding? My mom has always told me “Love doesn’t stay the same. It is either expanding or contracting. If you think it is staying the same, it is contracting”. This concept of Expanding Love has informed my LIFE, just as much as Intentional Creativity. Poetry JAM (aka PaJAMas)…
And then one very fine morning the journey called her by name. No longer willing to wait for everything to be ‘in order’, or for all the stories to line up so that they made sense. No longer willing to allow circumstances, relationships and alliances that do not reflect her, to rule her life. That…
The Spirit of Hope – A Writing for Spring by Shiloh Sophia It is Spring Eve, she said to all the Doubts. Gather around! All of you. One by one, she called their names aloud: Fear…Neglect…Sadness…Guilt…Worry… Lack…Shame…Carelessness…Overdoing… Like little mice in a fairy tale gone wrong they congregated at the hem of her garment. With…

Know that the creative process will take you along the curving path of self honor – even if it is not obvious right now. Because Honor is about listening to the messages of the heart and applying them gradually and tenderly. And creative practices give voice to just such messages.

107 Plaza Street, Healdsburg, California Cake and Champagne Reception on the weekend we celebrate the Feast Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe
Every day I am struck with our amazing ability to choose to be present to and in our lives, or not. I am amazed that we have so much choice in how our lives actually go – though I know there is plenty of “random” as well.
Last night at Cosmic Cowgirls, Sue Hoya and I had the incredible privilege of leading a creativity circle for a group of women friends, one of whom is on a cancer journey and may be in the last few months of her life. We made hand painted mobiles and crowns that each woman present contributed to through a prayer on a hand-painted heart for her friend. So at the end, each woman’s project had something from each of the other women – the hearts were tied on with red threads from our opening circle. And of course, add glitter. The wonderful woman whom we were celebrating and who was surrounded by the love of her girlfriends gave us some special teachings – one of which is: This is the day. She mentioned that the line in that gospel song, This is the day that the Lord has made inspired that thought…and she shared it with us. A gift.
ave you had the experience of the very AIR around you changing, seeming different- both in moments of bliss and pain? Times of miracles and grieving and transformations are moments when the air seems to me compressed and released and anointed with sparkle from On High. I have often wondered, since pain and miracles seem like something we can neither call on nor predict, but can certainly expect to show up -though with no idea when… is there a way to cause or call on the Sparkle from On High as needed? The answer of course is no and yes. Sparkle from on High is grace in its many sorted forms.
You have been telling the people that this is the Eleventh Hour, now you must go back and tell the people that this is the Hour. And there are things to be considered . . .
Where are you living?
What are you doing?
What are your relationships?
Are you in right relation?
Where is your water?
Know your garden.
It is time to speak your Truth.
Create your communities
In the folds of your dress
your holy garment
I bury my head
Smelling the sweet fragrance of your love
My little hands hidden in the layers of fabric
I try to be consumed and folded into your dress
I want to disappear into your being-ness
I pull up a fold and surround myself with silken fabric
Soft and giving, silky and strong
It is dark like your skin
and in these folds I can imagine
All the world is well and
I hear your soothing voice
speaking words of grace-filled wisdom
