I will not give up.
If I go down, I will not stay down too long.
I will not give up on the kind of life I want to create.
One were ALIVENESS and PLEASURE and POSSIBILITY
are shared with the daily cup of tea.
I will not give up on the kind of LOVE
that lights me up body and soul.
Where the spaces between the spaces in the weave
are where the holiness lives.
I will not give up on seeking and finding the sacred.
On choosing everyday sacred.
I will explore the bright medicines of this bright earth
when I am tempted to give up.
I will reach out for your hand, and feel it.
Really feel it.
I will notice you. There beside me.
Feel the texture and light of you.
And tell you about it. I will notice your magnificence.
I will not give up on you.
For years we have cut ourselves
off from ourselves
and haven’t lived into the fullness
of our glorious body and heart temples.
I don’t know how. But I know today,
for me, this fragmentation ends.
I have called together the parts
of myself I have lost
and in wholeness I sip the cup
of sweetness in front of me
and know the alchemist has
brewed it up for just this moment.
The temptation to ‘just exist’
looms large in us, don’t let it.
There is always a brightening
available if we look for it.
I will not give up.
Hear this.
I will not give up on you.
On me. On this earth.
On love. I can’t.
I have to choose
over and over and over
this precious aliveness.

Dear Ones, I am sitting at the Flying Goat Cafe in Healdsburg and getting ready for a very special experience…many members of the graduating class of Color of Woman 2012 are preparing a workshop, an experience for us – where each one will share her essential wisdom with the group, her own ‘ted talk’ about what is alive in her and her sacred work.
The words above flooded me and I had to stop and share them with myself, and now I share them with you. BRIGHT blessings on your day…
Shiloh Sophia
So perfect. Thank you for these words. ♥
Thanks, Shiloh. I needed this this morning. I was a drop out of your class and have half a Goddess painting in my thrown together and sacred painting place. Is it possible that I could still buy the video of the course at the lower rate? I don’t want to give up on my lifelong desire to learn how to paint!!!
