Good morning from California! I am getting ready to teach a live class today on pain and paint! In preparation, I fasted yesterday of solid food, went to bed early, and dreamed of the river beneath the river.
I knew as soon as I woke up that I had the next piece of my core material about navigating pain and initiating pleasure and flow. So I brought this piece with me to cafe this morning with Jonathan and we drew it out. I felt the flow state as I was working and I was like “WOW this is what I want to share with them – this feeling”. As well as how to get there over and over to create powerful healing by choice.

I have been working on this idea about healing for almost a year to share with our Intentional Creativity® students. I experienced a healing after I led the Illustrative Woman class in July 2019. It was so powerful I could hardly believe it. Afterward, I wrote down the ‘protocol’ that was coming through. Then I asked myself what I always ask:
Is the medicine I am experiencing just personal or could it be transpersonal? Meaning would it be useful to others? The answer was YES.
I am calling this particular teaching Meridian – in honor of the middle, the equal sign – and the meridians in the body.
Since that time, I have been practicing and sharing some of this teaching with my students. I’ve been writing it down, drawing it out, and trying to refine how it can be used. I’ve kept it as simple as possible. The entire protocol takes some time to learn – because to move stuck energy and manage pain takes focus and practice. Yet instant awareness does bring instant results because your awareness that you can DO something helps.
Stuck energy and pain are deeply embedded into our body, field, and brain – then we back it up with story. Just like Einstein says that “the field is the governing agency of the particle” – I like to say that the story we tell is the governing agency of how that story lives in our physical body. So we will be working with particle awareness and wave awareness.
I am continually asking how I can be of service, and use creativity for healing. When the world is in pain, my efforts amplify.
While our techniques appear esoteric at first, they are rooted directly in discovering correlations in science. This is where Jonathan comes in. I share my experience with him and he helps me to name what we are doing very specifically with the brain and body. The science helps make it more believable to us as we practice, as well as reinforcing the new practices which begin to actually shift us over time. Today we distilled the pattern as close as we could for a short class, Meridian, knowing that a much more advanced protocol will be happening in the three-month course, Artifact.
I am delighted to be joining Intentional Creativity Guild members Uma Mulnick, Amber Gould and Milagros Suriano-Rivera to offer their gifts and support.
I hope you’ll come along and join us today for Meridian. Don’t have paint supplies right now? This class should be good to just watch. This isn’t really about the product, it is about the process.
I am so very aware of all of us being on different levels of pain right now. Talking with our students and teachers I hear that people are in shock, suffering, numbness, outrage, and all kinds of things they can’t explain or have never before experienced. While this class was planned long before things escalated in the United States and around the globe – this seems like an ideal time to support our community with pain – and discover a new “paint point” for themselves.
Let’s use Intentional Creativity as a tool for healing – because that is what this does – invites you to be your own inner healer.
Wherever you are, whatever you are experiencing, I send you my love…it is arriving now…
As part of our work to heal, we are offering Re-Membering Circles for Mending Racialized Trauma – our next one has a focus on Native American women and is led by one of my teachers and chosen family members, Carmen Baraka – Spirit Warrior.
This painting is called Catalyst, and was inspired by healing sessions I did with Uma Mulnick, who will be joining us as a co-teacher for class today.
