Dear Ones,
At Musea we believe that creativity activates inherent life force and can be a powerful tool to summon your inner healer. This includes healing from trauma, stories and belief systems that have been woven into the very fabric of your DNA since (or before) birth.
This is not to discount the value of seeing a trained health professional, going to therapy, getting counseling, working with a healer you trust, etc… Yet over the years, we have heard from countless students that the only way they could get through or overcome stuck grief, PTSD, unworthiness, etc… is by bringing their healing intention to the canvas and working it out themselves.
The practice of Medicine Painting isn’t new. It is an ancient practice woven throughout human history. We are seeing a revival in modern times, as people are called to take healing into their own hands – literally.
Since our first Medicine Painting Course, Apothecary was born in 2018, nearly every course we’ve offered since includes some form of Medicine Painting – it is that powerful and our students have said things like…

If you are feeling called to join us, now is the time. We run this course once per year to provide a focused ‘healing circle’ in our private iMusea App group where you can connect with fellow students and graduates who have taken Apothecary before.
While you are welcome to do the process on your own, some students enjoy taking Apothecary with a spouse, partner or friend. All genders are invited to take this course.
The idea behind Apothecary was created by Jonathan McCloud. With his history as a dairy farmer, losing his dad at a young age, his Veteran experience and the tragedy that came from that, then close to 30 years as a chef and sommelier in the food world, he has quite a story to tell. And the way he has worked with transforming frustration into determination. He shares his story in the course, addressing PTSD directly.
