Hi! I’m up late. I have a reason. Every year for 16 years we have offered a course called Legend. If I could only teach one course – this would be it. Each year we change the theme and this year’s theme is all about the bridge between who we are, and who we need to become in order to navigate the future. In other worlds, release your sassy, swarthy, and soulful self. We begin on Solstice, June 21. I have been working on this Legend for just about a year now – and it is ready enough!
I have had a really full day with the first ceremony for The Cura Council and honoring this day as the mid-point between Spring and Summer here in the Northern Hemisphere. But I said I was going to open the doors on May 1 and I wanted to keep my word to myself, and to you. I am unreasonable about Legend and about the story you tell yourself about you! One of the super cool things about THIS Legend is that it is the first one EVER that is open to all genders – drum roll please – I am teaching it with our friend, Andrew Johnstone. Andrew is not only weaving in the painting of a cave wall and the cosmos (he is a muralist) – he is also going to share with us an INCREDIBLE discovery (he is an astronomer) about who we are as a species based on ancient cave art from 17,0000 years ago that is connected with the zodiac – that is SO EXCITING I can hardly stand it.
I can’t believe I get to share it with you. So many good things in this life happening right along side all the hard stuff. But for us here at MUSEA and Cosmic Cowgirls, self-expression is definitely our cuppa tea.
Also I was thinking, as AI comes onto the scene and begins to dictate what we look like, or want to – all the more important to create our own hand-painted archetypal presence. A presence and an energy that embodies the REAL YOU? Yep. You get to sculpt, color and tell the story of your own Identity. THAT is what LEGEND is all about!
I think the study of identity and how to get access to it – is one of the most under-studied fields – that we could learn so much about. LEGEND is an invitation to do a deep dive into you.
