Women’s work and lives are often invisible masterpieces. We seek to bring our masterpieces to the center of the table, the wall, boardrooms, galleries, courts, museums and all the places women’s voices have been missing. We will achieve this in our day, and indeed we are, through lifting up women’s voices and work. Together we are creating a platform for us to speak our stories and have our work seen.
Here at Musea, The Intentional Creativity Museum, we are centering on women’s art. I am proud to be a part of the permanent collection in the formation of our first year as a museum.
My show opens in Sonoma on June 19, my birthday, and is the first official event in a year and a half. I hope you can come. If you can’t come in person, you can attend online on June 16. I will be reading from my recently completed books throughout the day. Snacks and vino will be served…Come celebrate, relax and enjoy the show!

A message from Musea Curator, Shiloh Sophia
Dear Intentional Creativity Community,
I could have never imagined that the doors of MUSEA, our Center and Museum in Sonoma, would be closed for over a year and a half.
I have deeply missed gathering for events, retreats, supper clubs and celebrations in this beautiful space surrounded by 17 redwood trees, vineyards and gardens. Now that we are able to safely re-open the doors, I’m so excited to create more memories with you!
Being closed for in person events created the need and opportunity we needed to focus on the creation of our virtual museum in addition to our physical museum.
Sharing my Kinship with Creation museum show with you feels so juicy and wonderful at this time in my life! The paintings to be featured in the show span four years of my newest paintings inspired by Intentional Creativity community members. If you attend in person, we will also celebrate my birthday with cake!
Having a physical and virtual museum is an unreasonable dream come true for me. It has taken an unbelievable amount of time and resources to get where we are in this moment. Thank you to our Musea Members who are working with us to bring this work forward. Sue once said, “We must move into the future, creating it as we go”. Her love of museums inspires me to keep going – even in an uncertain future we are redefining the images of women and advocating for women artists to have a seat at the table. That alone assures me we are doing good work in the world.
If you are inspired by our work and vision, I invite you to pick a date to attend one of our upcoming shows and make it a special experience. Whether you come to Sonoma or attend virtually, mark your calendar and enjoy gathering with our community of creatives to witness art that inspires us all to live a life more aligned with who we truly are.
I look forward to seeing you soon!
Thanks to so many members of our team including Jonathan McCloud, Sarah Mardell and our team of Co-curators within the brilliant direction of Curatorial Director, Amber Gould. A year later, we already have over 600 members and growing!
