Dear One,
As you likely know from our work together, my focus is awakening women. Since my early twenties, I have worked with women to begin seeing what they aren’t seeing. To identify default settings and root out false systems that harm women and the oppressed. Only from a space of awakening for herself can she CHOOSE clearly what values and injustices she holds. We do this through Intentional Creativity®.
So while I continue to focus on our recently opened online Museum, as well as work with Women of Color in our new six-month series of virtual circles called Re-Membering, I have to stay true to the WAY I invite awakening; through painting herself.
When women begin to define their own image and archetypal energy – the entire framework in which she holds herself moves into her hands. Removed from the hands of those with power-over structures, we can reclaim our own image and media.
Will you join me in reclaiming your own Feminine Archetype? The urgency of a woman’s awakening is at hand. It is ESSENTIAL that women awaken to do their own work in their life and in the world…women’s voices are SO NEEDED.

We have two Women of Color on our Artifact team – Guild Members Lauren Adorno-Weatherford and Semerit Strachan – and we want to honor and encourage BIWOC to join this course by offering a partial scholarship according to self-identified need.
If you are BIWOC, or know someone who is that would benefit from this course, please email sarah@musea.org and we will get you set up. Please also join us for our next Re-Membering call in July.
Upon registration for Artifact, a 3-month painting journey into your Feminine Archetype, you will receive immediate access to a materials list + preparation coursework.
On the fence about whether to join us? Experience a complimentary medicine painting class tomorrow, MERIDIAN. You will need a few materials or you can watch and paint later.
Our Solstice course, ARTIFACT begins on June 20 the day after my 50th birthday. The timing feels both divine and intense. I simultaneously want to escape with a cocktail by the pool to hide and want to dive into the cave with you headfirst. Maybe we can do a little of both? I will bring the chocolate and the paint!
Here is my only summer course based in painting: http://artifactcourse.com/
Recently I dreamed of systems and patterns as if I could see the continual persistence of oppression emanating into our lives over time. It was enforced de-volution instead of evolution. I do believe we can evolve by choice. My very first business tagline at 23 years old, was Art For Evolution.
When I woke up, I had clarity that during ARTIFACT I want us to practice virtual synchronized ‘vision questing’ together from our own homes, as well as some cycles of fasting, and the encouragement to make ‘cafe’ a daily part of our lives. Note – we will be sharing our process in the iMusea app, not Facebook.
Let’s experiment with how much impact we can make within our own fields and bodies by trying different approaches along with Intentional Creativity. I want to share my devotion to revealing and healing the feminine. I have been studying HER since my twenties.
We are also experimenting with a new healing protocol that works with particle and wave. This will help us integrate our experience. We plan for deep healing, without re-traumatization, and honestly, lots of pleasure. Because pain in life is big, pleasure in life must become bigger.
If we were together in person for Artifact, we would be sleeping under stars, telling stories, painting our bodies with flowers and diving into the deep end of the river beneath the river. We would be sharing meals and lineages and songs. We would speak to cellular stories and healing wounds that are thousands of years old.
We know how to gather and remember because we somehow remember what is needed when we are in circle together. Yet, even if I cannot hold your hands, we have practiced quantum togetherness along the red thread since we started teaching online over ten years ago. You will feel it, and be strengthened to do the work.
Will you join us?
The incredible news I have to share is that Semerit Strachan and Lauren Adorno-Weatherford, will be joining us to work with a culturally specific group of Women of Color to go through the process. Both women are Intentional Creativity Teachers from 2014 and have found amazing results in their own healing journeys through the power of image.
I am still learning so much about racism and oppression. As I learn, I will continue to share my thoughts – even if I have to edit and adapt and get it wrong. I keep trying. You can read my post – Black Lives Matter to Me – right here
While we have worked with anti-oppression in many aspects of Intentional Creativity, this is the first time we will directly create a container for women of color to work together with one another in a course. We will have together times, and times for distinction as a group.
Imagine women of color defining their own images from now on…YES! IF you are a woman of color reading this, we have partial scholarships available to make this possible. Email sarah@musea.org for details.
The idea behind ‘artifact’ is that your art is the ‘evidence’ of the work done. This is potent medicine painting. Let’s get our brushes wet and journey with each other. Each woman will be her own healer. It has been said of me, that I hold the light for the big digs. I have my lantern lit dear ones…

Ordering supplies NOW is important due to possible shipping delays.
Our hope is that those who participate will be part of a GLOBAL MUSEUM SHOW with MUSEA!!!! Can you tell I am excited?
I always shake in my boots before a class. I literally quiver and shake and sweat. Each one is like the first time. I have a very detailed plan, but it just comes through me when I tune into each of you gathered. The class material is greatly informed by YOUR presence.
As I have been looking at my own relationship with internal and externalized forms of oppression I can see so many threads. This morning I looked at the very routes my family traveled out of East-Africa over 67,000 years ago. I also looked at the witch-burnings in Europe with a fresh perspective, about how that trauma came with us to the United States and the lingering impact in the silencing of women’s voices.
I have known both of these things before, but I feel like I am fitting together the pieces of an ancient puzzle. At the end, I will have my artifact…..and I will have reclaimed myself, once again, from systems that do not support the regenerative feminine.
With great hope, true love, and a flaming paintbrush,
