On Teachers
A good teacher will stand for your ideas
above the desire to transmit their ideas to you
They will put their information
in service to your self-discovery
You have your own information
You are responsible for knowing what it is
On Being Seen
Consider giving up the idea that you
need to be seen in order to be whole
Consider the way you have been asking
for this seeing, may have caused you to blame others
You have the choice to see yourself
Set your loved ones free of your need
On Deep Work
Remember, the deep work of the soul
is often most powerful in a circle
When we come together, we create a space
that is often difficult to create on our own
Don’t complain about not finding those like you
Become the gatherer of mystical misfits, like you
On Sexuality
Your sensuality and sexuality is as unique to you
as your own soul, and at times just as elusive
You must spend time getting to know you
how you feel and what you love
You are responsible to yourself and your lover
to brave the intimate communications of loving
On Creativity
Every bone in your body is a creative bone
which has nothing at all to do with talent
Holding on to stories about how you think you think
is actually, futile – there are creations to make
Your choice to light your creative fire
is an ever-ready invitation to awakening
On Bullsh*t
No matter how much work you have done
you still have bullsh*t
Know this is so in all of your relationships
Move out of judgement and into connection
You get to look with curiosity at all your stuff
and hopefully find some humor in all of it
On Addiction
If you have ever been addicted to something
stop pointing fingers at other addicts
You are on a different place in the path
and have lost your insight into the why of it
Any wisdom you may have to offer on this topic
can only come when you are free of blame
On Healing
You hold your own keys to healing
Others may show you were to look however
Your wounds are yours to navigate,
yet you are not alone, we ALL have them
Your tragedies can become your remedies
Yet, this you must choose with all of your heart
On Wildness
Many teachings and healings can cause an un-wilding
Unwittingly we impose purity on transformation
There are times for fasting and praying
There is also time for dancing on tables
Watch that you don’t un-wild as you grow up
You will need your wildness to survive, and thrive
On Consciousness
Choosing to become conscious is a privilege,
often confused for a right, it isn’t
Consciousness is a choice for those well enough
to think the thoughts of awakening and feel them
Approach your inner world with eyes of wonder
to discover who lives in here and what they are all about
On Sharing
When you find out how something works,
take the time to share it with others
Don’t share it like a truth, or even your truth
Propose it like an idea, a possibility, an invitation
Those who carry gifts of plenty
are called to pour them out on the world
On Earth
If you have tea with the trees
the path will be revealed to you
If you remember the Earth is your home
you will always be home no matter where you are
Your choice to be a steward of soil and star
will change the future for all of us
On Pleasure
We take such pride in restraint, simplicity,
in needing less and moderating stimulation
Yet here we have these eyes, this mouth,
this skin, this body, these ears, this heart
Our common senses are rooted in knowing pleasure
If we do not know how to feel, love will be lost
On Having
A very popular idea suggests you must ask
for what you want and make a clear list
What if asking for what you want
could actually hinder your capacity to receive?
Not always, but sometimes, and sometimes
surrendering to what is, can open the deepest receiving
On Love
If you withhold yourself from love,
how will you know how and where to show up?
Loving what you truly love is your assignment
in every relationship you have and seek
Give yourself to loving
and all the rest of the teachings are present

Dear One,
If I could teach any class at this point in my life, it would be how to eliminate our own bullsh*t so you can get on with it.
I don’t know how to teach that class though. Or perhaps that is my own bullsh*t.
It likely needs to be taught in collaboration with others who summon your bs for you LOL.
I see clearly that even if we are wise, brilliant and unique – if our own bs is in the way, we can’t really truly be free enough to lead from the heart. So many dang stories poking us in the eye, holding us back.
Here in Australia, in the Intentional Creativity Training, there is no bs between Jassy Watson and me. It is so free and so lovely – so much kin spirit that it makes me cry because I want this for others even more.
We have both taught enough and done enough work to this point that we can just be together and share. It is lovely. Not that we don’t have our own bs, but less of it is in the way. This freedom has given rise to this thought of an eliminate your bs training. Hum. Could we?
Not tooting our proverbial horns, so much as noticing – this is what collaboration can be like, feel like. IS LIKE. Like it.
Artists don’t need a passion/purpose other than making art. Making art shows us what we need to know, see, be. When we get too hung up in meaning making or needing it to be more than what it is, we impact the art and the message held within it. We may however need to make a body of work that ties a red thread between creations, so that we can see the common thread.
My teacher Sue used to say – Art is a great way to live.
I am having a wonderful time at MUSE DOWN UNDER – we are on our third big experience, in Sidney Australia, having just left Melbourne and Prism yesterday – more on that soon – and before that Brisbane. LOVE these women!
Sending much love along the thread,
Right where you are from right where I am!
Jonathan caught this picture of me one afternoon, our first day off in a long bit, after a very long night out in Fitzroy with awesome friends. A little hair of the dog here. No face make up, eyes two different sizes, add lipstick, white leopard and Australian wine. Such a look on my face huh? He loved it, not sure if I do but sharing it anyway. Seems to go good with the bullsh*t convo!
