With the wild nature as ally and teacher, we see not through two eyes but through the many eyes of intuition. With intuition we are like the starry night, we gaze at the world through a thousand eyes. The wild woman is fluent in the language of dreams, images, passion, and poetry.

I woke from a powerful dream. I got up to write it down. This is what came out of my pen.
Dreams are evidence of the rich inner life of your identity. A place where all different levels of awareness dance and create freely. As if when our eyes close, the depth of our imagination finally gets to play and show us all the colors, textures, possibilities and dimensions we aren’t seeing with eyes open. You know things you could not know, have experiences you have not had, and perhaps even feel things you have never felt before.
Our dreams are indicators that there is so much more available to us in terms of how we think, feel, see, intuit and dream the future. Dreams provide information and insight into the hidden workings of the psyche as well as grant us access to more of the collective mind. Dreams may also read your field of stories and memories, using past experience as a palette of colors to build a story. In our dreams, many of us experience ecstasy, feelings of flight, and even orgasmic sensations. I go through cycles of delicious insightful dreams, as well as healing dreams, and also hard ones that want me to take a look at what I am not seeing.
On the flip side, nightmares or dreams that make us sad may be showing us something we need to pay attention to. Those who have suffered trauma may also revisit the trauma and going to sleep can feel scary. All of this points to the power of dreams and how they work. I feel dreams can be an invitation to pay closer attention to what is playing out in that mysterious inner world of ours.
In my twenties, for years, I ‘fought the evil’ and tried as hard as I could to confront it, clean up after the wreckage of it and tell the others about what I was seeing in the dreams. Part of my job was to ‘name it’ and if I could name what was happening, I could confront and awaken from the struggle. This served as a part of my awakening, and my call to justice. I remember it vividly as part of my training for what I am doing right now. What I am doing right now is designing systems for awakening using creativity, humanity, and the journey as a template. This is my day job.
Right in the middle of the great dreams and the nightmare is what my mom Caron calls ‘dream salad’, you only remember parts, can’t make heads nor tales of it and aren’t left with any stories to tell in the morning. She taught me when dreams feel like that, to just let them go. She taught me to spend time on the dreams that have a clear message for me. I also love Dr. Estes’ approach which is that your dream symbols mean what they mean to you – not always meanings others have assigned to the symbols.
Yet many women who practice their creative and spiritual work feel that we could have greater access to a depth of rich awareness when we are awake. We feel this because we have tried it ourselves – requesting insight from behind the veil. A waking inquiry that can give us dream level insight may sound something like “not too much, just what is useful, show me what I am not seeing,” followed by physical creative action, such as dance, or moving the paintbrush or drawing without a preconceived image. Moving the inquiry into form is essential for the craft of Intentional Creativity to be useful, powerful, and leave you with relevant insight.
How do we induce this state of heightened flow without drugs or danger or dreamtime? In our research with Intentional Creativity and Metacognitive Consciousness, this portal of rich access is often more available than we think. We simply haven’t been stopping our elevator on that floor because we didn’t know where to look or how to press that button.
Personally, I have a bit of the revolution in my soul and here’s what I think: We have been intentionally cut off from deeper access to keep us tame, to domesticate us, to make us useful to the systems of the day. Our intuition has been fragmented to the unconscious when it could be more immediately available to the conscious. Further, our educational systems aren’t fully designed to amplify the magical gifts of the child, but to make us conform, as soon as possible. If we don’t fit, we get weird labels and are called “unmanageable” or misfits. I am fine with that. I chose misfit early and I don’t show any signs of stopping my acts of rebellion from established norms.
Let me be clear, most of us can’t just get instant access; it isn’t available all the time, not just on command. With practice, attention, and intention to respect what is coming through it becomes more available. Great insight comes with great responsibility.
For today, the inquiry is to sit with your current paradigm around your dreams and how they work for you. Is there one that keeps coming back? One that is asking you to look more deeply? And after some reflection, there is an invitation to ‘dream with eyes open’ through asking your imagination to show you something…but again, asking followed by action is ideal for the greatest insight.
Ours is not the task of fixing the entire world all at once, but of stretching out to mend the part of the world that is within our reach… One of the most calming and powerful actions you can do to intervene in a stormy world is to stand up and show your soul. Soul on deck shines like gold in dark times. The light of the soul throws sparks, can send up flares, builds signal fires, causes proper matters to catch fire. ~ Dr. Estes
Last night I dreamed a medicine man came to my aid. We were traveling in the back of a big car very fast. Someone else was driving. We had just broken through a literal wall instead of taking the route the others were taking that had long long lines. He covered me with a blanket that had tiny holes like stars. It was dark underneath and I had only one hand that was holding the blanket, so I had control. I asked about the holes and he said, that is how you let the poison out, let me help you. Then he made me and my blanket into a kind of ball and rocked me until all the poison was gone. It was complete.
So much of this corresponds to my life, going very fast, not sure what is driving the speed, experiencing quick healing supported by powerful elders from THIS LAND, so I can do my work. And honestly, studying very hard in the mystery how to transmute the poison we are taking in from the current paradigm, from food and water that is contaminated to toxicity in the environment to patterns of being watched on Facebook, and so much more.
I am continually concerned about the state of ‘human being’ and wondering: What is the most powerful thing I can do?
I know that part of my role and my sacred assignment is to bring medicine through liberating our self-expression. Our school curates experiences that liberate the mind, and are designed to unite soul and body so that we can be as conscious as possible. I also know I am here to cause celebration, to lift our spirits and to encourage beauty. Our work is a living museum, taking place in homes across the world by thousands of women. Our dreams for ourselves and the future matter more than we can ever imagine. I am grateful you are here, knowing that we are all part of the collective doing the best we can with what we have to serve in the great unfolding.
many blessings on your dreamtime,
