For me, the way I look at my story is how I design my framework for living. How I view myself, and my relationships. When I don’t choose it, the default setting takes over. Almost without my looking I can move into victim mode so quickly!
The work of staying present with personal evolution isn’t always unicorns and rainbows, sometimes it is more star jaguars and messengers from the deep.
I stay present through creativity – focused – dedicated – intentional interaction with my inner dialogue made manifest through art. If you are with me on this mailing list you already know this about me. I know it isn’t for everyone.
But I do know that ALL of us work in the domain of story. So whatever story you are telling yourself in this moment, this is an invitation to make it conscious.
What story are you telling yourself about how this goes?
For me this year was one of the hardest ones I have ever had. That is the story I have been telling. I got so many no no no’s this year. I feel I am shy to take risks. I haven’t moved into my new story yet because I need to paint a big painting to do that. I don’t just ‘think it up and walk in’. It isn’t just a concept – I have to create it with my brush. And so I am. Perhaps you will join me.
Wherever you are, whatever is arising for you. I send blessings along the path. Our hearts are heavy with all that is happening with California right now. We are traveling for work but have our homes full with people, escaping smoke, finding refuge from change, and finding the joy that is possible in each moment that is available.
I am excited to go see my mom for Thanksgiving time – a time of gratitude and reconciliation.
