Do you often feel fragmented or like there is a disconnect somewhere?
Is it in the brain, the heart, our personal story? The answer is yes,
all three. We try everything, every workshop and potion and prayer but still somehow the self within doesn’t seem to get and stay aligned with the self we live ‘out in the world’. What’s up?
The crazy thing is that this occurs for us like a paradox – but it really isn’t. And as long as we live with this inside outside paradox we barely get to dive into the juicier paradoxes because this one hogs all the space…when this can be integrated, it is as if you live in a new world with greater access to yourself.
My Red Thread Letter today is this video and this is at the heart of my work…
“That was amazing Shiloh Sophia. With all the work I have done with you this year especially, this piece truly spoke to my 4th grade self where my art disruption happened through the words and actions of my teacher at one specific moment in art class, and had still been playing out all these years. That was where my visual creativity shut down. The frustrations of my inside/ outside eyes initiated from that experience had, up until now, created such shame, guilt, embarrassment that I have struggled to truly be at peace with the canvas and to let others see my work. My healing journey through Intentional Creativity continues, and I am forever grateful for that red thread. Blessings be.

Intentional Creativity is all about inside and outside…inner and outer…seeing and voice. When you learn to teach this work, you teach these kinds of ideas in relation to the actual painting process. Intentional Creativity is a philosophy that applies to any medium…
If you are interested in IC, and not ready for Color of Woman, but want to walk with me for 13 moons exploring these ideas, then consider CODEX.
I also have a 7 week class coming up in October that is less about painting and more about pen and ink and paper to explore theses concepts – we will be using big white paper and pens!

Dear One,
My new studio at Carmel by the Sea is all set up finally! I can sea the ocean from my studio window.
We sleep with the windows open. A very healing time for me. We can step out our front door and walk to the beach. I plan to write my book from here ~ finally. I am creating the space needed.
I have no in person classes scheduled for now except Color of Woman and gatherings connected with programs like our Italy trips which are full – so will let you know when I do!
It’s hard to believe for Bay Area people, but Carmel was less expensive to rent! Crazy I know. It’s the fires – the wine biz – the tech boomers. So we come to the sea…. sounded good to me. We rented for a year, then we shall see…
I’m excited to begin filming for CODEX here next week and continue with INSIGHT – new spaces always create new spaces in consciousness.
It’s time for Red Thread Cafe by candlelight and waves…and whales!
I encourage you to set up your desk and studio as an altar and share it with us inside the Red Thread Cafe Classroom (our private community on FB for women). Curating beauty is an integral part of Intentional Creativity. I learned this way from my mom Caron McCloud and my teacher Sue Hoya. They made everything beautiful – altars everywhere of wildness and order. I am grateful to live in such awareness of space and curation of environments in which different experiences arise.
Thinking of all of you with gratitude! I feel truly blessed that we are in the same red thread weave at this time. Sending much love through the ethers….

P.S. I also have a show in San Francisco – The Sacred Invitation – scroll down to learn more and read about it.
Photos from my Carmel Studio. Paints, brushes and the Blessed Mother and my INSIGHT painting in process – these are a few of my favorite things! Peeking out from the art cabinet are two pieces from my teacher Sue Hoya and Susan Seddon Boulet above.
We know many of you receiving this are already signed up for our free and paid courses, but for those who aren’t, here it is!
