Tending My Temple – Prayer for clearing energy
May any stagnant energy that I am holding, move along
May any heaviness that can move, move along
May any grief that I cannot hold, that is ready to move, move
May my own troubles not weigh me so far down,
that I cannot let the world love me, or love the world
May I be healed enough to hold the whole world in my arms,
in this moment, in this impossible moment,
I hold the world
along with my own grief, together, we move energy along…
In this loving presence, I am healed,
I allow this awareness to flood my body with pure presence
Arriving arriving arriving into my temple
My temple which is right now,
clearing the energy that I do not need,
making room for something beautiful
I am making room to let the beauty touch me
This love that is so big that I cannot begin to imagine it,
brings me peace, I hold the world, and the mystery holds me
As peace comes through me, I share this peace with all beings
I am all beings, all beings are me
With this awareness I know
I am responsible to tend this being which is me
Today this is how I am tending my own temple
Creator beyond names, reasons and conditions,
moves through me, with me, and clears the path
My field is clearing, more open,
I am more available, my intelligence, my body, my heart,
my presence, my field, clears
I let myself FEEL and KNOW and BE this clearing
And so it is already,
Thank you and Amen, Amen, Amen
Prayer for Tending the Temple:
I am sharing the way I bring language to my thoughts, to tend my being and move energy. For me it includes my own experience of Creator, you can modify the idea to your own practice and prayer. The idea is to bring what you wish to ‘move’ into the energy of prayer, the way you shape words with your mouth, your heart, your pen, your keyboard. This intention is to make the desire, request, wish, into prayer energy which changes how you say what you say and how you feel what you feel, and your awareness of what is happening in real time. And…so much more.
The first practice is to write your own energy moving prayer. With pen or keyboard enter into sacred space, for you, and write from the place of clearing…moving….gratitude…let whatever wants to come up, rise up, and write it out. Don’t try to dominate or make it poetic – just let the field and body give you the language for what you need today. As you write it, the energy MOVES. This is Intentional Creativity® in action.

A field is a region of influence, where a force will influence objects at a distance with nothing in between. We and our universe live in a Quantum sea of light. Scientists have found that the real currency of the universe is an exchange of energy. Life radiates light, even when grown in the dark. Creation takes place amidst a background sea of energy, which metaphysics might call the Force, and scientists call the “Field.” Lynne McTaggart
Today I am sharing these 2 Practices from my own creative spiritual practice, a prayer and drawing. I thought of you. I thought this could help all of us. The first was the prayer I wrote this morning for myself – with an invitation to write your own – which in the very act – moves the energy that is stuck. The second one is Metacognitive Drawing, it only takes about 5-7 minutes to get things flowing and requires NO experience, because it is about allowing the energy to move. Feel free to share this message with loved ones. Forward it via email or on Facebook. We do add it to my blog but it might be up to 24-48 hours later.
When we experience grief, trauma and hard times, this energy can get stuck in the body and the field. After years of this, it compounds, becomes dense, and it is as if we become more and more ‘heavy’. This density can lead to lack of movement in both body, as well as in the field. And spread out to how we live our lives. Moving what is stuck helps us feel more free.
We don’t need to go to a Doctor or energy healer to move the day to day compound of stuckness, we can do it ourselves as a kind of maintenance.
We have to learn to do this for ourselves, to clear our space.
You don’t need to be an energy worker or healer to start opening up to more and more love even amidst our current paradigm. Especially because of where we are…we need tools to help us along…
When we are feeling over-full with this energy it can lead to despair, sorrow, hopelessness. “What can I do, can I do anything?” may rise up in our awareness. You are not alone. As a people, as united nations on this good earth, we are in such a time of transition. We are learning new ways to adapt. Aren’t we? I am proud of our resilience.
For many of us, this feeling may result in feeling ‘off’ or ‘strange’ or amplify a sense of not belonging ‘here on earth.’ Maybe you or someone you know is experiencing this right now.
If you received my email on the 4th of July you know I invited persmission to be dismayed. I got so many responeses of support, solidarity, perspective, awarenesses, confessions. Honestly, it was good to know you are ‘there’, or is it ‘here’ with me….? Yes.
These 2 things can ‘discharge’ the trapped energy, and get it moving in your body and field. Are you up for that? IT WILL CHANGE how you FEEL. You can’t not change when you do these things. Will it solve a lot? Maybe not. But will it prepare you to MOVE ahead with just a little wee bit more spaciousness. Yes I do believe it can. Ready? It isn’t hard. The first one was the prayer, now let’s draw.
I feel fortunate in that I have tools, this painting above, a 13 moon work in progress, in which over 100 women are travelling with me is where I work things out. So each month, no matter what, I go to the canvas and ‘work it out,’ I also listen to music and move, slowly and quickly. One of the songs I have listened to over and over is from my friend Jennifer Berezan, recorded with friends and the nuns of South Korea. The video is wonderful to watch, yet for the process I am sharing with drawing, just listening is ideal because the invitation is for you to be witnessing your own space.

Metacognitive Drawing : You need about 5-7 minutes. Got it now? Don’t delay – if you have it now, let’s do it. Get 2 pens and paper. Any pens, any paper. State your intention, out loud. Something like “Amazing being that I am, I invite you to release any stuck energy that is ready to move along so I can feel more free” or read your prayer if you wrote one. Then simply, without attachment, or agenda, or speed, with one pen in each hand, move the pens. Watch the tips of the pens move, but do not control it in any way. Just move, slowly and with awareness, watching yourself and holding your intention lightly.
Science says that this energy cannot NOT move. So as you complete, say, “Thank you energy for moving along. I affirm that I have more space now” You can make this your own of course. Change language etc…Research shows that 5-7 minutes of drawing reduces stress. In this you are not only reducing stress, but you have actively engaged your brain and body in motion. It may seem small, but, it actually isn’t.
If you want to do another page, you can pose other questions and listen in. Here are some suggestions.
“How can I feel more free right now?”
“I would like to move the energy of xx…
“What am I not seeing about how I could feel better”
ometimes, feeling a tiny bit better can make enough of a difference for the day. The thing is, to move energy effectively, it requires more than thinking about it and the mental narrative. Engaging with the mental, the physical, the emotional and the field all at once with intention changes the energy in the moment. Taking note of this, witnessing it as it is happening amplifies the experience.
How are you feeling now? Did something move a bit? Just enough? Feeling any lighter than before you opened this letter? Let’s breathe together. From the heart, from the gut, from the mind, for the earth….Ah….. just a little relief goes a long way.
Let those of us who are willing and well enough, send this love out to all beings. And finally, imagine that potentially hundreds of us did this today…how does that change things? Are we, unwittingly helping each other? I do beleive. I believe. This belief, this faith in science and the Divine, is within everything I do. The root of Intentional Creativity for me is awareness that what I do for me, I do for others, through my intention. It cannot be otherwise. Yet my knowing about it, and nurturing that possibility, DOES have the secret force of the universe respond to my little prayer. My little prayer, which is not…so….little. And you are a part of it.
Blessings to each of you. Truly. Each of you. Right now. This love is between us. May it be so and may it empower us to find beauty in our day.

Quantum physics findings show that consciousness itself created order – or indeed in some way created the world – this suggested much more capacity in the human being than was currently understood. It also suggested some revolutionary notions about humans in relation to their world and the relation between all living things. What they were asking was how far our bodies extended. Did they end with what we always thought of as our own isolated persona, or ‘extend out’ so that the demarcation between us and our world was less clear-cut? Did living consciousness possess some quantum field like properties, enabling it to extend its influence out into the world? If so, was it possible to do more than simply observe? How strong was our influence? It was only a small step in logic to conclude that in our act of participation as an observer in the quantum world, we might also be an influencer, a creator.

I am sending this letter without my team editing it because it is Saturday, and we try not to work weekends, and this is hot and real now and it took me three hours to put together. So forgive typos or ordering – find the nuggets herein. I am TRULY thinking of you. Maybe you noticed… :)
Big bright blessings,
Did you enjoy the drawing process? I have a free class next week that takes Metacognitive Drawing to the next level, feel free to join us at www.theillustrativewoman.com
