New Moon Greetings Dear One,
I am delighted and I am also something else. Is it fear? Shaking in my boots? Nervous? Not sure what is going to happen? Yes, all of the above as we invite our community (that’s you) to join the first cohort for Musea University! I couldn’t seem to find the right written words, so I turned on the camera even though I am at Musette Atelier with the doors open! Gotta do what you gotta do, right?
When we are self-expressed, the world we create within, and the world we co-create in all of our relationships is the greatest reflection of who we are. When we are ‘healed enough’ we can choose to create an impact that matters by becoming stewards of the village that calls to us.
Are you called to serve your village through healing, art, and education?
If the answer is YES, this may be what you are seeking…
Allow me to answer a few questions:
- If you are an existing student almost all of the work you have already done is able to be counted towards your degree.
- This is a four-year degree, equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree. A final project will be required. If you have already studied with us for two years, you may only have two years to complete.
- One unit, like most schools, equals 42 hours – however, the hours that count towards your degree include studio time.
- You will be a part of the first graduating class for Musea University – going into the herstory books!
There is only so much we can do without actually starting – so we are starting. This is what it looks like. All night I dreamed of the questions that would go into the invitation for you. No more waiting. No more making sure everything is perfect. I spent four hours writing it and programming it myself. I wanted my intention in every single word. Then our team reviewed and now here it is.
We also got confirmation today that Musea University and Museum is going to be hosting a woman-centered film festival in collaboration with the Sonoma International Film Festival. Good things are happening. I believe in our future. I believe in our power to heal as a people and as a planet. Let’s continue to show up!
I am so grateful for the work of everyone to bring this project to life. Especially Mary MacDonald for her belief in me and the work. For Jenafer Owen for her direction and stewardship of the work. To Sarah Mardell for making all of this possible, truly. And to my love, Jonathan McCloud who has been holding the torch steady as I walk in the darkness one foot at a time.
And to all of you, I love you. Thank you for calling me, I am calling back.
A new beginning. Anyone else need a new beginning? Try this.
Yours in truth,
Shiloh Sophia (and Jonathan McCloud)
