Dear OneS,
Full Moon blessings to you! I am writing to you from my hotel in Half Moon Bay. Taking solace in the real quantum connection between me and the women I serve through Intentional Creativity, that is you! (and away from smoke) I always say – this love is real, this love is happening right now. And it is. We are still evacuated for an untold amount of time, fire is very near our home, and, I am clear that I need to stay focused on what matters to my life and work. And yes, in a very practical way – show up for work. Here I am heading out to cafe this morning – I feel like a cowgirl gone rogue from an old country western movie… grateful for the sign behind me ‘this too shall pass’, which provides some encouragement for the journey.
I have taken the past few days to be with Jonathan, off the computer, practicing my tools for resiliency and non-attachment, which I call zen-weaving. Being evacuated is a strange experience, it is surreal and it changes, well…everything…even if you don’t lose your home. Your sense of security, however temporary or not, is shaken to the core.
So I write. I draw. I pray. I meditate. I rest. And I give.
Today I am inspired to give you an invitation to understand the science of connection as we practice it in Intentional Creativity. Get a cuppa’ tea and join me for a little Red Thread Café.
Quantum Connection – The Red Thread
The Intentional Creativity community curates a culture of connection both virtually and physically. When you are a part of our community – you are a part of a larger weave of women from around the world.
- In the Red Thread Café there are over 9,000 women
- In our iMusea app, there are over 900 practicing students.
- Our community has worked together in a virtual context since 2004 when we founded our woman and girl owned company, Cosmic Cowgirls, LLC in San Francisco.
We didn’t start with a vision of being virtual, as the idea of coming together several times a year was at the heart of our community plans. Yet as you know, life often has other plans for you!
Here is one of our gatherings early on, when Sue was still with us in physical form. How I cherish every one of these gatherings we’ve had over the last 16 years.
